To advocate for and mentor women who are in jail or soon to be released in the areas of: supportive housing, substance use and recovery support, relapse prevention, employment readiness, spiritual support, clothing, food, transportation and other areas necessary to fulfill the season of change. WE ARE A TN SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES AGENCY (SAMSHA) FUNDED PROGRAM.
What We Do
WE HAVE A HOME THAT NEEDS TO GET READY FOR THE WOMEN WE SERVE IN ADDITION TO THE PROJECT COCOON WE ALSO NEED THE FOLLOWING:
TWIN BEDS, COMFORTER SETS, SHEETS, STORAGE SHED, TOWELS, WASHCLOTHS, TOILETRIES, KITCHEN SUPPLIES, BATHROOM SUPPLIES, SANITARY ITEMS, FOOD GIFT CARDS, DECORATORS.....AND ANY OTHER ITEMS THAT MAY HAVE BEEN OVERLOOKED!!!
A bag for those who are leaving jail or homeless to report to drug rehabilitation, mental health facility or the community.
After Spiritual counseling and advocating with community agencies to provide resources, each woman will receive
a bag to help their transition.
The Book Bag will include:
·$5 Food Gift Card
·Travel size toiletries: including comb, body wipes, deodorant, tooth brush, tooth paste, lotion, shampoo and conditioner.
